Chris Kazim STEER Advisor Port Chester High School
Chris was born in Burlington, Vermont. Chris then moved to Croton, New York where he would spend most of his life growing up. During middle school, Chris and his family relocated to New Orleans, Louisiana and Rumson, New Jersey before moving back to Croton, where he graduated from high school.
Chris graduated from SUNY Purchase with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts, with a concentration in history. He then attended Long Island University, where he received his Masters in secondary education. After graduation, Chris continued to complete an advanced certification in special education. Chris began working at Port Chester High School as a teaching assistant, then became a special education social studies teacher for the last nine years. Chris has worked in many capacities helping children both academically and socially, both during and after school. Recently, he was the Senior Class Advisor, and is looking forward to becoming the APPR Vice President for the Port Chester Teacher’s Union next school year. Chris is currently finishing his educational leadership program through the College of St. Rose.
