Danielle Scicutella STEER Advisor Port Chester High School
Danielle Scicutella grew up in Massapequa NY. She has been playing lacrosse since the second grade. In High School she played both varsity field hockey and lacrosse all four years. In field hockey, Danielle was the first goalie to ever help lead her team to a sectional and regional title where she then competed in the state championship game. She was named the first All Long Island, and All-State goalie for her high school. She holds the school record for the most saves in her career and was also apart of the Empire State Games team for Long Island in 2006. In lacrosse, Danielle was captain of her team her senior year, and also played club lacrosse of LI Liberty. Danielle went on to play division three field hockey and lacrosse at Manhattanville College where she studied math education.
While getting her Master's, Danielle was subbing full-time and coaching varsity field hockey and JV lacrosse at Fox Lane High School in Bedford. Once she finished her Masters, she got a full time teaching position at One World Middle School in the Bronx teaching 7th and 8th grade math where she then started coaching at Pelham Memorial HS. Danielle is currently teaching 7th grade math at Port Chester Middle School and is head varsity coach of both the field hockey and lacrosse programs at Pelham High School.
