Lonice Eversley STEER Advisor & Captain Careers in Sports High School (Bronx)
Lonice Eversley is a proud mom, loving daughter, and dedicated educator, who has a passion for writing. With more than 20 years of experience as a teacher at the high school and college levels, Lonice is committed to empowering young minds through exposure to diverse arrays of perspectives which foster critical thinking. It is Lonice's main objective to provide opportunities for her students to prepare for college academically, socially and emotionally. Having taught 12th graders for the duration of her high school teaching career, Lonice has recently become highly motivated by the spirit and energy of her 9th grade Steer students, Roshel Cepada, and Denika Foster. She is often inspired by their dedication to their studies and respective sports.
Lonice is a second generation native New Yorker from the Bronx, and is an alum of A. Philip Randolph Campus High School (Harlem) Clark University (Worcester MA), New York University and Fordham University, and her fabulous daughter is an emerging fashion designer. Lonice lives by the motto "Each one, teach one."
