April grew up in Queens, NY and attended Frank Sinatra High School of the Arts as a theater major. Even though she had a passion for the stage, April played a key role on the basketball and softball teams. Her background in the arts lead her to study at SUNY Purchase College where she was a two sport collegiate athlete.
April was a four year starter on both the women’s basketball and softball teams as well as three-time captain for the women’s basketball team at Purchase. Here she was not only involved on the court but she served as a member of the Intercollegiate Athletic Board and Alpha Kappa Delta, the International Sociology Honor Society. She graduated from Purchase College in May 2017 with a major in Sociology.
April is always stressing the importance of athletics. “Being part of an athletic team can bring guidance, support, and opportunities into the lives of its members. Athletics can make a huge difference in the lives of students”. April’s excited to be a part of Steer For Student Athletes, INC. as the Student Support Coordinator. She looks forward to assisting Steer student athletes in achieving their goals both inside and outside of the classroom.
