Sylvan Learning Center White Plains and Bronxville

Sylvan Learning Center provides Steer with tutors who use a personal approach and interactive technology to teach Math, Reading, Writing and more. Sylvan also provides an outstanding ACT/SAT prep program for our student-athletes which has resulted in a significant increase in tests scores.

Yonkers Partners in Education

YPIE’s mission is to increase the number of Yonkers Public School students who complete a post-secondary program that prepares them for a successful career. YPIE partners with the Yonkers Public School District, business and philanthropic communities and higher education institutions and relies on detailed data to drive their decisions and programs. 

Wishbone

​Wishbone is a non-profit fundraising platform that gives all students the chance to pursue their passions through summer program opportunities.  Wishbone identifies low-income students who can't afford to pursue their passions, and through exclusive tuition discounts from program partners, crowd-sourced campaign funding, and negotiated corporate and foundation sponsorships, are able to help a growing number of students afford program opportunities to pursue their interests.

Laureus USA Foundation

​Laureus Sport for Good Foundation USA, a national foundation with a mission to change the lives of youth and strengthen communities through the power of sport.   Steer for Student Athletes recently joined the NYC Sport for Development Collaborative, created by Laureus USA and Adelphi University. The collaborative is a group of over 60 local organizations using sport to positively impact the lives of youth in the New York City area.  

​Peak Mental Game

Steer For Student Athletes Program Consultant Dr. Hector Morales-Negron PhD of Peak Mental Game LLC works with our student-athletes on their mental skills.  He helps our students with goal setting strategies, character development, and overall mental toughness to improve performance in the classroom, on the field, and at home.  Dr. Morales-Negron is currently a member of the Mental Conditioning Team for the Pittsburgh Pirates, and uses the same approach with our students as he does with professional baseball players.

​Beastmode Athletics

​Led by former collegiate baseball standout, Dave Fisher, Beastmode Athletics is an initiative geared toward working with athletes of all ages on strength and conditioning.  Dave Fisher and Beastmode Athletics offer a wide spectrum of programs ranging from sport specific workouts to overall athletic development training.  Beginning with a six-week intensive summer program, Steer has teamed up with Dave to allow our students to have access to the high quality strength and conditioning training that Beastmode provides.

​Next College Student Athletes "NCSA"

​Next College Student Athlete (NCSA), the largest NCAA-compliant collegiate athletic recruiting network that matches student-athletes with college coaches. With Team Edition, Steer coaches can use real-time recruiting intelligence to see at a glance which athletes are making progress and which ones need help. They can also easily connect and recommend athletes to college coaches. Another benefit is that NCSA Team Edition makes it easy for Steer to get invaluable insights like which schools are recruiting their athletes.

​High Performance Associates

The mission and focus of High Performance Associates (HPA) is to enhance and maximize the performance of individuals and teams across a broad spectrum of clients in the business, sports, arts academic markets, and government agencies.  HPA has developed a proprietary model, ‘The Immersion Model’, which involves the nuanced, interdisciplinary application of multiple methodologies from performance, sport, communication and industrial/organizational psychology to achieve excellence.​

Designs That Donate

​Designs That Donate™ a vehicle through which customers have the luxury of shopping in person, through Instagram, online or via email with a percentage of the purchase price designated to Steer for Student Athletes, and other non profit organizations alike.  The success of Designs that Donate™ is their personal service, attention to detail and the ability to find fashion forward items, home goods, jewelry and accessories that are carefully curated from all over the world.

​Community Change, Inc.

​Community Change (dba CareerVisions, Ltd.) is a New York State-based, capacity-building consulting firm that supports schools, school districts, government agencies, not-for-profits, and institutions of higher education in strengthening their services and connections to youth, families and communities. They do this by providing youth workshops, and developing curricula and college courses based on our niche models for career explorations, community organizing, cultural awareness, and relationship building.  They also maximize their mission by writing grant proposals, delivering staff trainings, and providing strategic planning support for organizations.  Community Change is certified as an Minority/Women’s Business Enterprise (M/WBE) in New York State.
