Chris Borsari has spent 31 years as an educational leader. His experiences have ranged from middle school teacher to high school principal and superintendent of schools. As superintendent of the Public Schools of the Tarrytowns, Chris championed the launch of STEER at Sleepy Hollow High School. More importantly he has aspired to fulfill his professional responsibilities while remaining a present and engaged husband, father, son, and friend.
Chris has remained a servant leader throughout his career. Keeping people; students, employees, parents, and colleagues at the forefront of his decision making has always been his North Star. His most cherished memories are grounded in the positive and nurturing relationships he has built with the people he has served, especially students and their families. Mentoring and coaching others through challenging personal experiences, difficult decisions, required organizational change, and collaborative leadership development provides him with great personal satisfaction.
In his spare time, Chris, a former Division I athlete, enjoys cheering on the Virginia Cavaliers, spending time with his wife and three children, boating on Candlewood Lake, and reading an eclectic selection of literature. He holds a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Virginia, a masters in teaching and advanced certificates in educational leadership from Manhattanville College.
