Dejeana is a recent graduate of Purchase College who earned a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology. She played four years of collegiate women's basketball and was Captain of her team in her senior year. Dejeana was a three-sport High School Athlete and, in her senior year, was Captain of all three teams. Dejeana grew up on the lower east side of NYC with her brother Dean and mother Sarah.
Dejeana has a wide range of experience working with adolescents in academic and sports settings. She worked for the Sports and Arts Foundation, coaching and mentoring secondary school students. She did internship work with Ladders for Leaders in the NY Office of the Appellate Court, was a leader in student government (vice-president), worked at the Tompkins Square Middle School mentor program and the Sports Challenge Leadership Academy. She served as a program leader at Future Stars Camp and worked as a Supervisor in the athletics department at Purchase College. Dejeana has also worked as game day staff at the Rose Classic Basketball Tournament.
