Despite battling several drawbacks throughout his high school years, Frederick Duran persevered as a dedicated student and athlete, ultimately graduating as part of the Class of '23 from Port Chester High School. Fred was selected to join the STEER program in seventh grade. He devoted numerous hours to community service, embodying a commitment to giving back. Frederick's journey as a first-generation HS graduate reflects his resilience and determination, having grown up in Port Chester with his mother and two sisters. Currently taking a gap year with the Westchester Community College, Frederick continues to pursue his passions and ambitions, driven by his experiences and aspirations. At his time at STEER, Fred looks forward to finding his purpose, hoping to gain experience and make connections. Fred’s glad he’s here and giving back to those that helped him become the person he is today.
