Javi grew up in South Orange, NJ and sports have always played a massive part of his life. Javi attended Seton Hall Preparatory School in West Orange, NJ where he excelled at both football and baseball, earning all conference, division and state honors his senior year in the latter. Javi would go on to play four years of Division I baseball at Fordham University, eventually graduating with a number of single season and career records to his name. In 2017, Javi was honored with his induction into the Fordham University Hall of Fame in recognition for his performance on the field. Following graduation, Javi went on to play a brief stint of professional baseball with Seattle Mariners organization before seeing his career end due to injury.
After his playing career came to an end, Javi worked as a Foreign Exchange Options Broker for BGC, Partners before going on to earn his MBA from Columbia Business School in 2015. Following business school, Javi began work at JPMorgan Chase & Co. where he currently works as an Executive Director within the Private Capital Markets team.
Javi and his wife, Kristin, live in Rye, NY where they try to keep up with their four boys; Mickey (9), Lucas (7), Niko (5) and James (3).
Javi is an active fixture among Rye youth sports, donating his time to help coach across all of the teams his sons play on. He looks at his own life and the sees the positive impact that athletics has played and looks to be a driving force of that positivity for others.
