Dr. Susan Antolin is a passionate advocate for the empowerment of women and girls, with a
lifelong commitment to education, leadership development, and youth support. She currently
serves as the Executive Director of Women for Afghan Women (WAW), where she leads
initiatives that uplift women and girls through education, mental health support, and community-
based programs.
With nearly a decade of experience in secondary education, Susan previously served as a high
school teacher, student activities director, and summer school principal at an all-girls school in
Southern California. Her work focused on cultivating leadership, building confidence, and
creating meaningful opportunities for young women to thrive academically and personally.
She is the Co-founder of Advancing Girls, a platform offering research-based resources for
mentors and educators dedicated to supporting girls' development. Susan is deeply committed
to helping young people achieve academic and personal growth through mentorship,
opportunity, and holistic support.
She holds an EdD from New York University, an MEd from the University of San Diego, and a
BA from UCLA. Her work is rooted in the belief that when young people are supported with care,
education, and opportunity, they become powerful agents of change in their communities and
beyond.
