NEXT COLLEGE STUDENT ATHLETE (NCSA) PARTNERS WITH STEER FOR STUDENT-ATHLETES INC.

New partnership will help non-profit provide at risk student athletes with the tools
necessary to manage their recruiting process and find their best path to college

CHICAGO – Next College Student Athlete (NCSA), the largest NCAA-compliant collegiate athletic recruiting network that matches student-athletes with college coaches, has teamed up with Steer for Student Athletes Inc., a non-profit organization committed to helping at-risk youth through sports participation.

build better lives through sport.”

Steer will be using NCSA Team Edition to manage the college recruiting process for all of its athletes from start to finish. With Team Edition, Steer coaches can use real-time recruiting intelligence to see at a glance which athletes are making progress and which ones need help. They can also easily connect and recommend athletes to college coaches. Another benefit is that NCSA Team Edition makes it easy for Steer to get invaluable insights like which schools are recruiting their athletes.

For each athlete, they can now bring their college recruiting efforts to the next level with an online profile searchable by college coaches and they can use NCSA’s exclusive Recruit Match Technology to identify schools that are the best fit. They will also have access to an extensive resource library of online recruiting tools.

Team Edition will help support one of the major goals of the Steer program to prepare student-athletes for a post high school education. Sports have been shown to provide many long-term benefits for student-athletes. According to recent NCAA data, student-athletes graduate at rates higher than college students in general. And, the median lifetime earnings of bachelor’s degree recipients are 65 percent higher than those of high school graduates.
